Mentoring Opportunity

Are you a budding writer based in the West Midlands?

Have you had some work published in magazines or online?

Do you write poetry, short stories, memoir or the novel?

Would you benefit from some mentoring by a professional writer?

If so then Literature Promotions can help as we’re offering a free mentoring service, supported by ACE, West Midlands, to ten writers in the region. It is expected that demand for this will be high so get your application in soon.

Each writer selected will be offered eight hours of advice, instruction if required, guidance or other support. This can be face to face, via telephone or email as appropriate. A final report or summary of suggestions to take your writing further will be offered.

To apply for this some evidence of commitment to writing must be offered, for example, membership of a writers’ group and/or, ideally, some track record of getting work published.

I hope to respond to applicants within one month but please be patient. There are a number of professional writers in the region who are available to offer advice so discussion will be entered into about who is likely to be your best mentor.

Not everyone who applies will be offered mentoring on this occasion but it is hoped that further opportunities will be available in the future. Good luck!
